Through a series of dream-like vignettes that traverse through time and space, a film-maker (Gene) is confronted by and grieves over the murder of his wife as he attempts to make a movie about werewolves. The vignettes are inspired by the seven principles of Kwanzaa, each principle punctuated by a lighting of one candle of the Mishumaa. The play features over 30 characters including a Mermaid, an Elephant with one Tusk Missing, Headset Voice, a Man in a Sagging Suit, Shark Man, a Sumo Wrestler, and Mother Teresa of Calcutta.
